Finished oil detail of the remarkable and rare BMW Glas3000 V8 Coupé, which had parked next to my art tent at The Vintage in Asheville (Maggie Valley) NC, in April 2026. Pietro Frua, the Italian designer who designed the original body, left his intriguing 'marque' on the car. After BMW bought the Glas Company in the mid-sixties, the well known 'Hofmeister kink' was added – a small, short angle in the rear window. They make quite a nice pair, don't you think? I found them to be irresistible, and so here you are!
